Enter your clock-in time and target paid hours — get exactly when you can leave.

What time can I leave?

Breaks are unpaid by default. To hit your target paid hours, unpaid break time is added to your on-site time.

    Frequently asked questions

    How is clock-out time calculated?

Clock-out = clock-in + target paid hours + any remaining unpaid break. If your target is 8 paid hours and you still owe a 30-minute unpaid lunch, your on-site time is 8h 30m, so you leave 8h 30m after you started.

Why does it add the break to my shift?

Breaks are unpaid. To get 8 hours of paid work, you must be on the clock for 8 hours plus any unpaid break time. The break is added to the paid target, not subtracted.

What if I already took part of my break?

Enter the break minutes you have already taken. The calculator only adds the remaining unpaid break time to your shift.

    Does this handle overnight shifts?

Yes. If your clock-out time is past midnight it wraps to the next morning and shows as AM.

What is “time remaining until clock-out”?

When your clock-in time is today, the calculator compares your computed clock-out time to the current browser time and shows how long you still have until you can leave.
